Moving On

It is official. We are no longer homeowners, we are only dirt-owners. We moved everything to storage on Saturday and closed on the house on Monday. Once again, we must say how blessed we are.
Most of all, we need to say a HUGE "Thank You" to everyone who helped us get moved out. Thank you to all the ladies who helped us pack--Karyn, Andrea, Deborah, Mom B. and Keri--I can't believe that you packed our entire house in two hours; you are true lifesavers. Thank you to Jordan who spent hours helping Jason get the furniture ready for months of storage. Thank you to all the men who lent their muscle on moving day--Steve, Jeff, Alex, Joe, Richard, Brian, Jeff D., and Griff. Thank you to the girls who helped me do the final cleaning also--Karyn, Deborah and Emily--you are true friends! A big final thank you to my parents who watched Laura for countless hours so that we could work without her hanging around. We have the best family and friends in the whole world!
**I wish that I had gotten pics of everyone that helped. Alas, I did not do well documenting this event.

Bed Rest Blahs

So, I've been in the hospital a lot lately. I passed two kidney stones (one huge, one not so huge) which sent me to the hospital once. My body also decided to start contracting--a lot. Why it did this when the baby will be coming out an incision in my belly is beyond me, but since I can't seem to tell it to stop, back I went to the hospital. Also, these contractions have decided to cause some major pain to the incision area of my last C-section. The results of all of this?? I am on serious bed rest (thank heavens it is not in the hospital) and lots of meds to stop the contractions.
Thank you to everyone who has helped with Laura as I have been in and out of the hospital and Dr.'s office so much lately.

Girls Weekend

Over the 4th and 5th was our second annual girls weekend. Oh my goodness, it was SO MUCH FUN! We went to Park City, stayed in a posh Marriott Suite (thank you Andrea for the lovely discount) and were very girly.

We left on Friday and spent that night eating dinner and then swimming in the snow. It felt so good to float my very large belly and the pool/hot tubs were awesome. Then, of course we stayed up until all hours laughing and chatting. Have I mentioned how much I love these brilliant, funny, spiritual, generous, sassy, genuine and loving women? Here is a picture of all of us in the suite. (Clockwise from top left: Nikki, Deborah, Trina, Andrea, Me, Christy and Emily)
Saturday was spent shopping the outlets. I didn't get too much because I am hugely pregnant and moving, but I did find a few good buys on clothes for Jason, Laura and baby girl. Oh, and several of us got these spiffy aviator sunglasses.
We celebrated Cinco de Mayo by eating lunch at one of my favorite restaurants: Loco Lizard. The food was fabulous as always.
Unfortunately, the time went by way too fast. I can't wait to do it again next year.
