The girls were so excited about Jr. Ranger badges after all our national park vacations this year, that I researched where we could go nearby and get some more. The thing that jumped to the top was Timp Cave. Laura didn't remember the last trip and the other two girls weren't born so we booked our tour and went.
That hike sure is steep, but the girls all did great on their own and we all loved learning about all the amazing things in the cave.
They got their badges and we all decided that this should be an annual trek!

Family Photos 2014
We took new family photos! It is so wonderful that everyone is old enough to smile and look at the camera when asked. I picked the top one for our big photo in the family room.
We got great new ones of the girls individually and one of them together that they all keep in their bedrooms. I hope it reminds them that sisters are the best friends!
We got pictures of J and the girls as well as me and the girls.
Then Jason and I took pictures together. Alas, we were not nearly as well behaved as the girls!
And we finally got a serious one!

Treasure Hunt 2014
My parents had their annual grandchildren's treasure hunt at the cabin over labor day weekend. This year it was a western theme.
It was a blast! We had breakfast, the kids hunted, and we all laughed and enjoyed one another's kindness and love.
