Quick Moab Trip

Our consolation trip to Moab was wonderful!  We started out with the one major hike we didn't do last time - Delicate Arch.  We went super early to avoid the crowds and keep cool.  It worked and was beautiful and magical!  The girls were originally worried about hiking over to go under the arch, but eventually they all went and were glad they did.
They all hiked like champions and did it all on their own.  It was a long ways and straight up on the way there.  They also loved learning about cairns, Eliza called them "carrots", on this hike.
We saw some of our other favorite places, enjoyed the time together, and singing Mary Poppins songs at the top of our lungs.
We also loved drawing in the sand.  Particularly ladybugs!
Jason and I had originally planned to do the Windows and rest of Arches on our second day, but we asked the girls if they would prefer doing the rest of Arches, or if they would rather check out a new park, Canyonlands.  They unanimously voted for Canyonlands.
We had to be picky about where we went in Canyonlands because of limited time.  We loved Mesa Arch, especially being able to practically be on top of the arch.
The vistas were breathtaking and the wind was crazy.  Island in the Sky was just amazing!
They girls got their Jr Ranger badges at both parks because we didn't get them at Arches last time.  It was a great time!
