Ache

In a gush of blood and a high fever, we lost the miracle baby growing in my belly today. The excitement and anticipation have been replaced with one big ache. My body aches from the trauma it's going through. My eyes ache from all the crying. My head aches from all the unanswered questions for today and the future. Somewhere inside I know it's for the best and that someday another baby will grow in my belly again, but today, I ache.

  5. Oh, that post just knocked the breath out of me. That's awful and I wish I'd read this earlier, when I might be able to do more to comfort than just post a lame comment on your blog telling you how sorry I am.

Emmy you will be in my prayers and if I can do ANYTHING at all to help, I'll be over in a flash.

  6. Melinda I too am so sorry to read this news. This comes as a shock to me as I did not know you were expecting. I cannot imagine your ache and I believe with time it will lessen.
For now take it one day at a time and know you have so many family and friends to love you and ease your burden. Right now we are mourning with you and willing to comfort you in whatever way you need.
You probably need some physical and emotional healing time, but when you're ready give us a call to get together again.
    With love, Steph and family

  13. Jason and Melinda I feel so badly that this has happened to your family. I feel your sorrow because I love you both so much and it hurts me to see you hurt! I ache for you but I kown that God has a plan for you and one day we will understand why things like this happen in our lives. Just as President Hinkley always said...things always have a way of working out, they really do! I believe that too!

  14. melinda,
I am so sorry to hear that this happened to you. Please let me know if I can do anything at all. I know this is after the fact, but sometimes you can use just a minute to fall apart alone. I would love to take the kids for you.
