Sara's Recovery

Sara's recovery from her tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy has been a lot slower than I anticipated. She didn't communicate her pain very well and we had a very difficult time getting her to eat, drink and sleep enough. Sara has spent a lot of time coloring and eating "cold things", sitting on laps, and laying on the couch.
Oh, and then she got infected in her wounds. That's what happens when sister goes to school, I suppose. Fortunately, she finally seems to be coming out of it - she's been on antibiotics for 3 days now. Hopefully, next week we will be out of isolation (germ-phobic is what we are now) and she will be a positive, happy girl again. Hopefully mommy and daddy will be sleeping again also.

  1. I'm ready for her to be feeling better. I thought that she'd be like 90% by now. Augh! Eventually she'll be better and then she'll be better off for the rest of her life. I just need to remember that!
